You’ve added a custom data step to your builder, enabling customers to customise their boxes by adding personalised messages, names or special requests.

You might now be wondering: where can I view the values of the custom data step?

Where to Find Custom Data Values

Once a customer has completed their purchase, all the custom data they entered is stored in the order details in your Shopify admin.

Here’s how to find it:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Orders.

2. Click on the order that you want to review.
3. On the right-hand side of the order page, you will see the 'Additional details' section.

Here, you will see all the custom field names and the values entered by the customer. For example:

• To: Kate
• From: Alex
• When should we deliver it?: 2025-10-30

All custom data collected through your Boxi builder is automatically attached to the order.
