Unexpected "Out of Stock" Error

Sometimes, your customers may see an 'Out of stock' error message when checking out, even though all the products in the bundle are in stock. This can happen even if the 'Continue selling when out of stock' option is enabled in your Shopify product settings.

This issue doesn’t reflect a real stock problem - it’s a temporary validation error within Shopify’s checkout system.


It’s a known Shopify issue (which you can read more about here) when the single bundle is enabled. Unfortunately from the app side it is not possible to fix the issue.


Recommended Workarounds


Option 1: Enable Individual Products in the Bundle Setup


You can prevent this issue by switching your bundle configuration:


  1. Open the Boxi app admin
  2. Select your builder.
  3. Click on Bundle setup within the builder form and check that the Individual products option is enabled. If not, select it.

  1. Save your changes.


When products are added individually, this “out of stock” error should not occur.


Option 2: Ask the Customer to Use Incognito Mode


Sometimes the error is caused by cached cart data or session conflicts.


Ask your customer to try completing the purchase in an incognito/private browser window — this often resolves the issue.


Using one of the solutions above will ensure your customers can complete their purchase without interruptions.
