How to Create Filtered Product Step

A filtered product step is a product step that allows customers to filter the products in the step.

You can choose between two layouts:

• Vertical filters (drawer)

• Horizontal filters

Why filters are important for your store:

• Help customers quickly find the products they’re interested in
• Create a cleaner, more organized shopping experience
• Allow customers to filter by attributes that matter (e.g., flavor, color, category, price)
• Increase conversion by helping customers make faster decisions

The app uses the filters created by Shopify Search and Discovery app.

How to Create a Filtered Product Step: Vertical Filters (Drawer)

1. Navigate to app admin dashboard and click a builder in the list.
2. Click Create step and select Filtered product step.

3. Add a title and an optional description
4. Click Browse and select a collection (only one collection can be added)

5. Click Save

6. Now open your builder to view this step

✅ Done!

Your filter drawer should now appear on your store with all available filters.

How to Enable Horizontal Filters: Horizontal Filter

1. Open your filtered product step in the app
2. Check Enable horizontal filter
3. Choose one filter from the dropdown (only one can be selected), then click Save

4. Now refresh the filtered product step on your storefront to see the update

✅ Done!

Your horizontal filter is now visible on your store.

Please note that you can always create new filters or customize existing in the Shopify Search and Discovery app.
