What is a bundle product?

When the customer adds the box products to the cart, the bundle product acts as the parent item, grouping together all chosen products within the box.

The bundle price is calculated dynamically in the shopping cart and at checkout based on the items within the box.

On the checkout page, customers will see each item in the box listed under the bundle product.

Using the bundle product offers several advantages:

Customers see all items in the box grouped under a single parent product on checkout page
Customers cannot freely alter the box contents after creation
Customers can easily purchase multiple boxes in the cart.

How to enable the bundle product?

To enable the bundle product in the Boxi app:

Open the Boxi app admin dashboard
Click on a builder in the list
Click on Bundle Setup within the builder form
Choose the Single bundle option and click Save.

How to Fix 'The product in your cart is not available for delivery to your location'

If your customers see the following error message:

Checkout error

This error usually means that one or more of the products in your bundle are not included in a shipping profile that allows delivery to the customer’s region.

Why This Happens

Shopify requires that all products in a single order be covered by at least one common shipping profile and delivery zone.

If even one item in the bundle isn’t included in that profile, Shopify cannot calculate shipping rates for the order - resulting in the “not available for delivery” error.

To resolve this issue, ensure that all products in your bundle are correctly assigned to a shipping profile.

Step 1: Open Your Shipping Settings

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings.
Click on Shipping and delivery. On the right, under Shipping profiles, find and click on your active shipping profile.

Embed the builder on a product page

Step 1: Create a New Product Template

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes
Click Customize to open the theme editor
In the top dropdown menu, select Products, then click Create template

How to Redirect Customer After Adding the Box to Cart

After your customers complete building their boxes, you can choose where they’ll be redirected next.

There are 4 available redirect options:

Cart - adds the built box to the cart (default)
Checkout - sends customers directly to checkout
Custom URL - redirects to any page you specify
Create new box - restarts the builder for another box

By default, the Cart option is selected. You can easily change this behavior in the Visual editor.

To change this option to another, please follow these steps.

In the list of builders, click on the one you’d like to edit
Scroll down to Visual editor section and click to open it

Why Bundle Product is not Working and How to Fix It?

You have noticed that your bundle products are not bundled in the cart/checkout or you have seen this error message:

This means the original bundle product that was linked to your builder no longer exists. Don't worry - you can resolve it quickly depending on the origin of the issue.

Situation 1: Deleted Bundle Product

If you've deleted the bundle product, you'll need to recreate it. Follow these steps:

Open the Boxi app admin dashboard
Click on the builder that shows the issue
In the builder form, click Bundle setup
Select the Individual products option and click Save
Next, switch back to the Single bundle option and click Save again
After saving, a new bundle product will be automatically created and linked to your builder - make sure to keep it active.

Situation 2: Product Visibility and Status

Even if your bundle product exists, it may not appear in your store if it’s not active or published.

Product status: ensure the product status is set to Active. If it’s marked as Draft or Archived, it won’t appear in your online store.
Sales channels: make sure the bundle product is published to your Online Store channel. You can check this in the product’s Sales channels section.
