# How to Embed the Builder

In this guide, you’ll learn how to embed the Boxi builder into a Shopify product page by creating a new product template.

**Why Embed the Builder?**

Embedding the builder into a custom product template gives you more control and flexibility:

* You can place the builder on a product, collection, page or homepage
* You can customize the URL and SEO settings
* You can personalize the builder layout for different bundles or collections

**Step 1: Create a New Product Template**

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > [Themes](https://admin.shopify.com/themes)
2. Click **Customize** to open the theme editor
3. In the top dropdown menu, select **Products**, then click **Create template**

4. Enter a name for your new template, for example: "Embed box builder" then click **Create template** to save

5. Your new template will automatically open in the editor - click **Save** to confirm

**Step 2: Add the Boxi Builder Block to the New Template**

1. Open the [Boxi app admin dashboard](https://admin.shopify.com/apps/boxi/app) and select your builder
2. Go to the **Publish** section

3. Scroll down to **Embed box builder** and click **Follow instructions**

4. In the dropdown, select the product template you just created

5. Copy the builder id - you’ll need it in a moment
6. Click **Add box builder** block

The theme editor will open your new product template.

7. On the right sidebar (or left, depending  on your device), find the **Box builder id** input field

8. Paste your builder id into the field

✅ The builder has now been added to your product template!

| You can now freely add or rearrange other sections and blocks to design your layout.

9. **Save** the changes

**Step 3: Apply the New Template to Your Product**

1. In your Shopify admin, go to **Products** and open your bundle product (if you’ve enabled Single bundle, the product has been created automatically, otherwise, create a new product for your builder)

2. In the product’s settings, find the **Theme template** dropdown (under “Online store”)
3. Select your newly created template (e.g. Embed box builder) and click **Save**
4. Click **Preview** to open your product page and see the embedded builder in action

Done! 🎉

Your Boxi builder is now fully embedded in a dedicated product template.
